BIG, HUGE IMPORTANT UPDATE!!!!

Needles and Pins...
Toby had her two-month doctor's appointment this afternoon (for those of you whom we have not called to update yet). Here are the stats:
Length: 24 in (she's grown an inch in the last month)
Weight: 13 lbs, 1.4 oz (that's almost two pounds since last time)
Doctor Germain says that, despite her spitting up and fussyness after eating, the fact that she's eating without a problem and gaining weight at a normal rate makes him reluctant to switch her to a soy-based formula, or to give her medication for acid reflux (as he's still not sure whether it's a lactose-intolerance problem, or a reflux problem). He says it's more likely than not that she's just slightly colicky and that it will pass by three-and-a-half to four months of age. So when we go back in March for the four month well-baby visit, we'll see how she's doing...
Also, today was vaccination day (dun, dun, DUNNNN!). Not a fun thing. Toby took the oral vaccine (Rotavirus) pretty well. But then she had to get three shots. Well, let's just put it like this:
October does not like shots.
Nurse Pauline asked me to hold her arms so she wouldn't try to roll away (lol) while she did it, and I didn't think that would be such a big deal (as I was focused on her face, and not on the needles poking her chunky lil legs)... HAHA!
I heard the first little "click" as she stuck Toby's leg, and saw her eyes go wide for a moment as she drew in a breath... There was a moment of panic-filled silence (more so for me I think), and then she instantly turned as red as a tomato and let out the worst scream I have ever heard come out of her (and she can be quite scary sometimes). I mean, she sounded like she was DYING!
So anyways, Pauline gave her the other two shots right quick and then we got a couple of Spiderman band-aids (she didn't have any little girl band-aids on her) and we were on our way.
I have to admit, I was nervous about getting the shots done, as we have heard so many horror stories about them in the past few weeks, but so far Toby has not showed any signs of any adverse reactions (except that she was slightly fussier than normal on the ride home, but that could have been due to simple hunger, because she CHOWED when we got home).
So I guess so far, so good on the updates. And now, a couple of new pictures (you had to know that every update I put in here, there will be new pictures, as between Brian and myself, we take about 50 a day):
This is the first actual video we have of Toby laughing at me, while I whistle at her.
I love nap time with Daddy <3>
Dinner at Gramma and Pop's house last Sunday. Don't I look cute with the home-made bow in my hair?
LOL.
Silly Daddy, making me drool.
You know what you guys, I'll just do this myself!
So that's the update for now... Be sure to check back next time as we continue with the adventures of the amazing, newly-vaccinated, October Marie!

Backtracking
With Mommy and Daddy for the first time :)

Smile! Well, something like that...
Nov. 18: We are cleared to go home, but will have to have bloodwork done for a bit to keep track of the jaundice. Toby leaves the hospital weighing 8 lbs, 4 oz.
Ready to go :)
Nov. 19: Went to the hospital in the AM to get Toby's bloodwork done again. Got a call later saying we'd have to go back again, because her biliruben levels were slightly lower, but still needed to be montiored.
Going to the hosptial.
Nov. 22: Toby's umbilical cord stump falls off on its own.
Nov. 24: Toby's first doctor's appt. She now weighs 9 lbs, 16 oz. and everything is good. :)
Hey, this isn't so bad!
I think I could get used to this!
Sweet!
Snug as a bug in a rug :)
Dec. 19: Toby smiled (for real, not gas!) for the first time, and laughed at us!
How cute!
Ha, ha, Daddy... You're so funny!
I don't think I like this monkey suit...
My hat is falling down, Mommy!
Christmas Eve with Gramma Peg & Uncle Mickey :)
Breakfast with Gramma El.
Later in the day with my Gramma Theresa.
Thank goodness they took me out of that dress!
Merry Christmas, everyone!!

Dec. 31: Toby is wide-eyed and bushy-tailed, and incredibly awake at the stroke of midnight, to ring in the New Year with Mommy and Daddy!
Happy New Year!!
Chillin' with my homie :)
