Firsts, Firsts, And More Firsts...

Seems that since she's passed the half-year mark, October has learned so many new things! Here are a few pictures from a couple of them:

" Look at me! I can sit up all by myself!"
(the exact date on this one is unknown, since she kind of snuck up on us with this... But we believe it started sometime in late May/early June)

Crawling over Daddy to get at Mommy's camera :)
The actual crawl began around June 16th... Before that it was a month or so of "inch-worm" type maneuvers

I figured out how to tip over the toy box to get at the toys I want to play with :)

Ha ha, Mommy!

Now that I can crawl, I am into EVERYTHING!

"Peek-A-Boo!"

On June 22, 2009 October pulled herself up on the ottoman to stand up, all by herself!

If you were unaware, this gives Mommy a heart-attack!

Drinking from my first sippy-cup, June 24th. I still need a little practice at this one, though!

On the firetruck with Daddy at my first Expo of the Senses in Attleboro. June 27th.

First time feeding myself (and first finger foods). These yogurt bite things are GOOD! June 28th.

YUMMY!

Mommy, can I have some more?
Well, there you have it for this installment of Toby-type updates. Stay tuned for more developments... Probably a lot sooner than any of us imagined!

Can You Believe It?!?!

Can you believe it has already been four months since our last update, faithful readers? I know, we suck at keeping in touch (wasn't that the whole reason behind this blog in the first place?)... But hey, in our defense, it's HARD keeping up with a growing baby girl (especially a little feisty one like we got blessed with!).

Here's what you've missed:

At the four month visit, Toby weighed 13 lbs and 1.4 oz. and she was 25 and 1/2 inches tall. She also got another round of shots (oy vey!), which she still has not grown to enjoy. Here are some pics:

My Mother's Day gift for Mommy... Hehehe.

Silly girl

At the six month appointment, Dr. Germain told us that Toby is in the 75% for her weight (17 lbs, 6 oz.) and the 95% for her height (27 and 1/2 inches), which is perfectly normal... They gave her another round of vaccinations and he told us that we can now start stage 2 foods (they are a little thicker than stage 1 and with mixed foos). But everything is normal, and Toby is doing really well. She is starting to crawl (well, maneuver sort-of), and she is saying da-da and ma-ma like crazy! She has also recently started working on her wave!!

Six Months:

At the zoo with Mommy and Daddy... I got to pet the llama :)

Don't know how clearly you can see them, but I have two bottom teeth in this picture!

Me and Daddy being silly at the Memorial Day parade in Attleboro. We went with Maureen and Dave. I can't wait till they have their baby so I have someone to play with!

Six month doctor's appointment. I'll show them for giving me shots... I'm going to tear up their tissue paper on the bed!

Oh, what a day!

Helping Mommy and Daddy sort through my clothes.

First taste of macaroni and cheese :)

Mommy and Daddy got me this cool new highchair now that I outgrew my Bumbo.

Seven Months:

Playing with Daddy

Wazzzzuuuuuppp?

Me and Bailey are still good friends :)

So there you have it for now. I apologize for taking such a hiatus in between updates, but I promise they will be more frequent from here on out... And, thanks to Peg and Doug for Brian's awesome birthday gift, they will now include HD videos (much better than anything I could take with my digital camera)!!

So there you have it, the best of the best of about 650 pictures in the last four months. Won't be long now until Toby's up here updating this thing herself! Oh jeeze!

Till next time...
